The Client
Masara is a family owned and operated business on a mission to create a more conscious and healthy Mexico. The organic green apples used to produce their signature apple cider vinegar are harvested from the deserts of northern Mexico, land that has been tenderly stewarded by the Portillo family for generations. Masara products are crafted in small batches as a labor of love, symbols of a reciprocal circle of give and take with the local ecosystem.
Our Approach
The logo, a minimalist rendering of an apple core, speaks also to our core as humans—an invitation back to ourselves. Textures and colors are similarly humble, imbued with the spirit of the farm, of earth, of the enchanted lands of northern Mexico. Illustrations are sketched by hand and unadulterated, odes to organic imperfection. The use of circles conjures a quality of harmony and balance. Social media emphasizes the light-hearted freedom of a small business playing by its own rules while also supporting local meditation teachers who share Masara's vision for a new way of being in the world anchored in gratitude and compassion.
